Rough it out with Olympus’ new action camera

Adrenaline junkies, capture all your topside and underwater memories with the Olympus Stylus TG-Tracker

Dive into all the action with the new Olympus Stylus TG-Tracker

Here’s a new toy for your outdoor and underwater sojourns – the new Stylus TG-Tracker is the latest addition to Olympus’ Tough family, and boy, does it have some pretty nifty features.

The hardy ultra-compact action cam comes with sensors that let you review data such as temperature, elevation, pressure, and location using the Olympus Image Track app. Another interesting bit about the TG-Tracker is the 13.9mm F2.0 lens, which has an incredibly wide 204-degree field of view. It’s quite impressive, especially when you take into consideration other highlights, including the camera’s ability to capture 8MP stills and record 4K videos at 30 frames per second.

There’s no need for a housing to take this beast underwater. Bring it down to a maximum depth of 30 metres (oh, did we mention it’s crushproof, freezeproof, and shockproof as well?) and whenever you’re ready to shoot, hold on to the pistol-grip handle (comes as an attachment), flip open the 1.5-inch LCD screen, and use the side-mounted lens for your photo and video needs. Bonus: Right above the latter is a 60-lumen LED light – great for low light situations.

The Olympus Stylus TG-Tracker (USD350) will be available in stores come June 2016. For more info, visit Olympus’ official website
